Time ticks ever onward and Wintertime is usually just round the corner, bringing harsh manufacturing penalties in addition to rat plagues, blizzards and earthquakes. Even so, the gradual tempo and relative simplicity of Northgard ensure it is a simple strategy game to go into - if not to excel at.
